Reason 29

They say introverts don't make friends, they are adopted by extroverts.

I can't say that Liam has made friends because of me; I know that he has left his comfort zone quite a bit for me. We met a trivia Tuesday and for a while, I thought he hated me; for being too loud, too outgoing, too annoying. The usual reasons people don't like me.

I'll b honest that I can not recall our first adventure outside of trivia but I'm sure that Liam was stressed by me winging it. Since then we have been on many unplanned spontaneous trips. Even greater still is that Liam has initiated some of these random road trips and beach walks. We can both chat endlessly or sit in comfortable silence. He is a constant in all of my chaos.

My favourite thing about Liam is the way he views the world in such a rigid pedantic way. This is because I have seen how much he has grown and it directly challenges my creative airy-fairy perspective.

I think the thing I say most to him is "okay but what if that thing wasn't a problem", which results in him pedantically explaining how that thing will always be a thing and it can't change.

"If you were an animal which animal would choose to be and what animal would you actually be based on your personality?" I ask animatedly from the passenger seat.

"I wouldn't. This question is based on whether animals have anthropomorphic traits, which they don't. So I wouldn't be any animal." Liam pedantically responds from behind the steering wheel. I am sure in this moment, stopped on the 1 northern motorway he is regretting getting in a car with my hyper self.

The thing is no matter how different we are or how far out of his comfort zone I ask him to come, He shows up. He is so good at communicating when he can't be there and that means the world to me but he is also so willing to go out to places he normally would not, to be there for me. That is why I keep living. Because I am loved. Because I love him too much to let him live a life without me.
