This one is for "Gentleman of the Year" 2020 and every year henceforth. I can not recall the exact moment we met but I know that I can not imagine my life without him. He is kindness in human form.
As someone who tends to be a bit of a spaz, having someone as calm as Hyung, is necessary to balance out my chaotic energy. Hanging out with him is always chill and often healing.
He is the most reliably available friend for spontaneous midnight drives (sometimes I think he never sleeps) and late-night deep and meaningful, listening to music in the car.
Problems that our minds catastrophise, suddenly shrink to the reality they are. Everything becomes manageable because we are not alone. We get to be each other's soundboard.
I know that if things ever get too much and I feel that I may be a burden to others, Hyung always reminds me I am not.
That is why I keep living. Because I am loved. Because I love him too much to let him live a life without me.
